California Rhone Ranger extraordinaire Randall Graham, eclectic as he is (some may say eccentric), is anything but a trend follower. His visit to Spiritus years ago is still a memorable encounter! He has long made one of the best roses in the USA. Blending California-grown Rhone varietals such as grenache and cinsault, with small amounts of grenache blanc and clairette, this copper-toned rose offers classic Provencal-like flavors with just a bit more heft. The interesting use of lees-aging adds subtle creaminess and length. Graham suggests enjoying this wine now, but also laying away some bottles "for several years to see it reach its full potential."
