Another sustainable stand-out from Argentina comes from Tilia, which was the first label to obtain the Argentinian seal of sustainability. The vineyard is biodiverse with bees, sheep, and other crops, and prides itself on its social responsibility. The grape roots bathe in the frigid glacial waters of the ancestral irrigation canals that traverse the property located in the Uco Valley. Horses graze in the vineyards under the towering snow-capped peaks of the jagged Andes. The malbec is restrained in alcohol with notes of violet, plum pie, mocha chocolate, and luscious huckleberry. The tanginess of the fruit would be amazing paired with leg of lamb and stewed apricots or braised duck with a sour cherry compote. (Jenny)
